Danillo Ramalho earns spot on Rotax USA for Worlds in Portugal

Brazilian rider Danillo Ramalho (REM/Kosmic) won a place for the World Championship in Portugal after winning at Rotax in the USA. Rotax US Trophy, was played at the end of last year at New Castle Motorsports Park, and Danillo won by qualifying for the Grand Finals of the Rotax Max Challenge, where he played in recent months and did very well.

Batteries were hotly contested. The final of the Masters Max category was full of emotions among the competitors, and Danillo Ramalho needed to win. The Brazilian quickly advanced to the top five to battle John Bonanno (Fulkrum/CompKart) and Peruvian Mundy Loyer (Nash/EOS).

Danillo Ramalho took the lead with two laps to go, then drove to a 0.986 second victory to secure a ticket to Portugal. The roster was set with 12 drivers from three different countries earning Grand Final tickets, and the baseline is set with the conclusion of the inaugural Race Rotax US Trophy Final event at New Castle Motorsports Park.

– It was a very important competition where I managed to have an excellent performance. I’ve been working hard and striving to achieve the goals I want for the Kart season. I want to thank everyone who cheered on my races – said the pilot.

Four-time consecutive Brazilian champion, Danillo Ramalho, last season, also won two podiums at the 25th edition of SKUSA in the X30 Master and KA100 Master categories, in Las Vegas, USA.
